Puma Motorsport is taking opinions on which sticker set they should use on their Team PUMA cars in the 2010 Gumball 3000 Rally. After 3 days they’ll announce the fans’ pick. It’s a blindingly simple example of how to engage your audience (and get FB fans) without dropping bank. I chose bottom left if you’re curious.
Ok, so you know I’m a fan of Puma so I had to post this! Puma is releasing a solar soaking Pumaphone thats interface extends the brand with apps like sarcastic calculator, turntable, pedometer, and Dylan. I love my iPhone but there is something crack-like about this phone. We’ll see but for now watch “See me in action” and check out the “Technical stuff” pdf
Create your own NASCAR graphics over at Toyota Racing and submit to win. After approved you have 15 days to get as many votes as you can. The commercials were well done(another) and the only reason I know about this.
$20M on commercials? Shoo, we’ll just give it to people in need. Brilliant!!! Instead of Super Bowl commercials Pepsi pulled a Judo move and opted for this social media contest to support the greater good.
More a note than anything else, Facebook Mobile now has over 100 Million users. Don’t forget about the mobile crowd.
If you visit WereAllFans.com, you’ll see portraits of some of the nominated artists composed entirely of real-time content from Twitter, Flickr, Facebook and YouTube. The content is refreshed and fed in and users can click on aspects of the content to view or play it back all on the page. It’s a pretty cool way to show stuff off.
The Del Taco Super Special Show is pretty engaging, I think. Vote on your favorite clip, get a free taco, and spread the joy.
Create an automated email newsletter campaign from a facebook page. The NutshellMail Facebook application allows users to easily add an “Email Newsletter” tab to your page, letting fans opt-in to receiving emails that highlight recent content from your page.
Technology that makes the world more human instead of less human. That’s nice. By texting ‘Haiti’ to 90999, $10 is added to your phone bill. Making it this easy and natural to donate has meant over $5 million being raised in a matter of days. This is the fastest and most generous results the Red Cross has ever had and many speculate that it’s because of sites like Twitter and Facebook that the message spread so naturally.
Black Cherry-lime with Facebook Connect ;). In a fashion similar to Dewmocracy, Vitaminwater recently created a facebook app that would let users build a new flavor.
A nice little community/social/fundraising campaign that spreads via Facebook Connect and Twitter. Great way for PayPal to spread awareness for their product I think. Real-time rankings make for a pretty dynamic fruitcake site.
A social media search engine offering searches across individual platforms (eg blogs, microblogs) or all, together with a ’social rank’ score. Whether or not the score is transparent enough to be meaningful is open to debate.
Yet another Gift finder - tis the season - CP&B built this facebook app that lets choose up to 10 of your friends and then it will scan their profiles and determine which Old Navy products will match their style. What’s funny, I’m wearing an Argyle Sweater today! Right on!
