Foursquare gets a mention on big flashy sign in Vegas. The increasingly popular location-based social game Foursquare gets a little awareness assistance through the voluntary promotion of Miracle Mile Shops by digital display service LocaModa. IMHO Foursquare Mayorship is one of the most addictive loyalty programs ever.
OK Go showing why the work behind the work can be just as interesting as the work. After battling their music label over allowing them to make their videos embed-able, they’ve reproduced the original video (with sponsor) and are launching it tonight at 7pm EST. Props to the buildup generated around this one song. A touch of crowdsourcing in here too! UPDATE: Link to video “This Too Shall Pass - RGM version”

The House of the Dead: Overkill Create a Poster is a great use of advanced image manipulation and customization to create an engaging experience. Heck, before @AbbyWilkerson sent me this link I didn’t know this game existed so apparently it works pretty well as an awareness piece. A gallery and ability to share on FB and stuff would top it off but props for the great use of sound!
Woot woot! Antivertising alert! Last week I caught a tweet referencing a company called Mother LA and how they ripped of iStockphoto’s images, watermarks and all. The thing is, I call shenanigans!!! Especially after the exposure this received around the interwebs, particularly the design community. This is totally the work of an intern at iStockphoto put on a mission to antagonize opinionated design professionals!
MEETorDIE - Where Lousy Meetings Live on Forever. While hating on meetings is low hanging fruit, what I really like about this is that once you find out how much your awesome meeting cost the company they tell you how much of that money could have gone to support Haiti through the Red Cross. Oh snap, how do you feel now?!
Think Beyond The Label is a super cool way of making people with disabilities no different than us. That’s for sure! Like the concept - very CreateAthon-esq.
Ok, so you know I’m a fan of Puma so I had to post this! Puma is releasing a solar soaking Pumaphone thats interface extends the brand with apps like sarcastic calculator, turntable, pedometer, and Dylan. This submission comes straight outta ATL from redpepper homie’ Kevin Burke. Nissan is launching a Twitter + Augmented Reality campaign for it’s Zero Emmision car the Leaf. AR will be used to visualize the tweets. Kenichi Horie, art director at Enjin, said of the agency’s strategy. “We used Twitter and augmented reality because, without using conventional, traditional media, how could we spread the word? LEGO CL!CK The new lego website is a piece of artwork. It has successfully aggregated its social networking sites and blog posts into a very slick flash site. New content drops into the site in blocks that you can blow up with a click of a button. The site seems to be a part of a campaign to “Find Your Inspiration” - check out the site and make sure you see their short film. Very inspirational Shortfilm

On ResortQuest they are hiding a treasure map on one of their ski destination pages. If you find it click it to get a phone number and secret code. Be the first to call with the secret code and WIN! It’s like a little one item scavenger hunt on their site. It’s a great way to get eyeballs and raise awareness of their ski packages. Clues are Tweeted out.
At the Grammys Imogen Heap wore a dress that used a real-time Twitter feed to display TwitPics on it.
